Content Assistance

For help regarding change in course content or missing lectures for biology, chemistry, music, etc., please contact ERes at eres@wumail.wustl.edu. Be sure to include your name and the course you are writing about.

Technical Assistance

First, try out the test page to see if you can see any streams at all. For technical assistance, contact I. Million at imillion@wustl.edu. This contact is not for missing lectures.

Be sure to include the following:

  1. The exact URL (web address) you are having trouble with, which will be found in the "Address" box in Internet Explorer, or "Location" in Netscape and will look like "http://streaming.wustl.edu/courses/something.html".
  2. The results of your use of the test page
  3. Some specifications on your computer including:
    • Mac or PC
    • Internet Explorer or Netscape (and what version)
    • Speed of your computer
    • RAM in your computer
    • How you connect to the Internet (modem, cable, DSL, ISDN, etc.) and if you are connecting directly to Washington University or another provider (Earthlink, AOL, Southwestern Bell, Charter, etc.)
  4. The exact error message you see or any particular symptoms you are experiencing (use cut and paste if possible)
  5. The date and time of the error
  6. For those of you in classes, you will also need to send:
    • Your class (department, course number, and section, if applicable)
    • The username you are typing in.
    • If the error happened while you were attempting to view a class while you were on or off campus

This information allows us to figure out exactly where a problem could be.

Lost Passwords

Please contact your course instructor for lost login names and passwords. None of the above contacts can provide these.
